Coming out of the Mud, the truth about seeking justice, is an Australian Premiere Documentary that takes audiences on the emotional journey of a woman who strives to overcome the symptoms of C-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Inflicted upon the impact of the Judicial and medical systems, as she confronts her child-hood sexual abuser. The Documentary Narrates the victim of crime story, through a visual display of dance images.

The documentary confronts the challenges within the legal system, the psychological impacts of child-hood violence, the questions of responsibility, victim blaming and the structures that protect perpetrators to keep on maintaining structures of violence. It questions the safety of victims of crime in Australia through the philosophical concepts of “Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt” and the psychological whip lashing experienced within the medical system. It takes these philosophical concepts experienced by a real life victim of crime to share an emotive story, to empower other victims of crime about the undiagnosed symptoms. It displays the journey of the mind, and the unlocking powers of ancient buddhism to transmit and overcome the psychological barriers of the mind.

Through deep seeded meditation, visualisation and empowering journeys. The documentary is displayed through a compelling narrative of vinaigrettes that relive the traumatic flashbacks and nightmares into avant guard visualisation aesthetic, that push the boundaries in the viewing, experimental neutralisation of documentary techniques. By using abstract, visual imagery in filming, video editing and cinematography to create a unique visual display. These images have been induced through the reliving of psychological trauma.
